National ParksLa Restinga National Park: 26,440 acres that form the connection between the Macanao Peninsula and the rest of the island. It is a lagoon inhabited by wooded mangrove swamps that give shape to false islands separated by broad canals. There, scarlet flamingos, sparrow hawks, pelicans, and Margaritan parrots, as well as a great variety of fish, coexist.
